Edinburgh is the home of the longest running annual international film festival in the world. It has mainstream as well as art-house and independent cinemas. The following are the main city centre cinemas.

The Dominion continues to be a firm favourite because of its large reclining seats and 2 or 3 seater sofas – just right for stretching out with a glass of red and the latest films!

The Cameo has a fully licensed comfortable bar and you can take your drinks in to the cinema where you can enjoy a mix of arthouse, cult and mainstream films. The cameo also has some great mid week deals for concession card holders so get in touch and check them out.

The Filmhouse is Edinburgh's publicly-funded "arthouse" cinema and is a hub for the city's serious film lovers. It also has deals for concessions and for matinees that are hard to beat.

The Odeon is a centrally located multi screen cinema and offers mainstream films.

Vue (Omni) Located in a modern entertainment complex below Calton Hill, has 12 screens showing all the latest movies.
